"As you get closer to the bridge leading out of the village, MATSUDA-SAN suddenly stops.
<<I… know this tune…>
Before you can react, he begins to undress and runs into the darkness. Shocked, you begin to hear a faint moaning coming from the rock formation. What you see there feels unreal. All the villagers are naked! They are dancing around the pillars as _something_ slowly emerges from the river…"
T'Cithura & Kaibara's Villagers are the final boss Enemies encountered during the Freakish Fable of a Frightening Flood Mystery.
Description[]
As the water level in Kaibara rises Matsuda-san and the villagers begin to gather at the rock formation, remove their clothes, and summon the fertility goddess T'Cithura.
T'Cithura is the only enemy who actually attacks the player, despite the Kaibara's Villagers being shown with the same damage. Each turn, T'Cithura will attack the player for 2 Reason. Kaibara's Villagers instead will heal T'Cithura by 1 Health each turn. If T'Cithura has been defeated before Kaibara's Villagers, T'Cithura will be resurrected with 1 Health and attack in the same turn.
If the player rescued the members of the research team during the mystery, combat bonuses will be granted during this battle:
- If the player rescued Kaori Yuto, the linguist, the player gains 1 combat damage.
- If the player rescued Sakina Okada, the geologist, the player gains 1 combat damage.
- If the player rescued Hiroki Shinohe, the theologist, the damage of T'Cithura is reduced by 1 Reason.
Combat Lines[]
- "You want to join the fertility dance..."
- "You feel an urge to enter the water..."
- "The mad ritual dance heals T'CITHURA! (+1 HEALTH)" (while Kaibara's Villagers are alive)
Notes[]
- T'Cithura will kill the player instantly if their Stamina or Reason falls to 0 (overriding Last Stand mechanic), receiving a special 'Moved to KAIBARA' ending screen.
Bugs[]
- As of update 9.92e, a bug prevents players from using offensive spells against Enemy B for enemies with two targets.
Trivia[]
- Kaibara's Villagers pose resembles photo of the three dancing children from the meme Third World Success
