Trivia[]

  • 'Otherworlds' are in fact not the same terminology used in traditional H.P. Lovecraft Horror stories, as they were originally called the 'Outer-planes', Outer-dimensions, or Outer-realms that the Old Ones(Old Gods) exist or once existed in. These locations however have more symbolism and can be very vivid in the form of visions or nightmares...Such as 'The Light', 'White Forest', or 'Glass Razor Glade' (Or the Boreal Expanse), which was a steep inclined mountain covered in razor sharp glass grass and the climber had to survive a blizzard to face the next challenge.
  • In World of Horror, the Otherworlds follow the source material almost exactly to the letter and included these to also be possibly Parallel Universes, alternate timelines, and even pasts/futures that failed to repel the occult threat or the Old Ones...Although the names of the original Otherworlds were likely changed for the games' sake.
  • Besides that, the 'Otherworlds' paths were, and still possibly are connected the Old Ones and serve as the trials involved being stepping stones for anyone that seeks power from them. Most do not survive past the first trial.
