"Entering a dark room, you spot Hawado and his wife, hugging each other. When they turn around, you scream in terror.
Their bodies are slowly becoming one and they fused faces express the same thing.
Rage."
Hawado and Miyako are an NPC turned Enemy encounter in World of Horror.
Description[]
Hawado and Miyako is a Japanese couple that has been horrifically fused into one. Their faces are now conjoined as multiple eyes started to grow in that fused lump of flesh. As it is stated, their eventual fate is to have their entire body conjoined as a single entity.
Location[]
Hawado and Miyako are one of the possible two guests in the Vicious Verses of A Violent Vigil mystery.
The enemy encounter occurs if the player neglects to follow the Vigil Pamphlet while they're in attendance.
Enemy Actions[]
- "Their screaming is horryfing! [Sic]
- "The pair thrashes around the room!"
Bugs[]
- Hawado and Miyako has the Eldritch enemy type icon but its inspected type is listed as Monster instead.
Trivia[]
- Hawado is a reference to Howard Philips Lovecraft, whose works were a major inspiration for World of Horror. Hawado strongly resembles Lovecraft and shares his profession as an author of weird fiction, and "Hawado" (ハワード) is a Japanese transliteration of "Howard."
- With her piscine eyes and gill-like markings on her neck, Miyako is implied to be a Deep One, a kind of humanoid creature with a fishy appearance from H. P. Lovecraft's The Shadow over Innsmouth. This explains why Hawado and Miyako only count as one sacrifice, as only Hawado is human.
