Enemy Stats[]

Enemies in World of Horror have three stats HP, DMG and PWR. Enemy scaling, statuses, town statuses and items can alter enemies' stats.

HP[]

HP is how much damage must be dealt to an enemy to defeat them.

DMG[]

Damage has a value and a type. There are four types of damage:

  • DOOM which increases the player's doom counter by the enemy's damage value when hitting the player.
  • STA which decreases the player's stamina by the enemy's damage value when hitting the player.
  • REA which decreases the player's reason by the enemy's damage value when hitting the player.
  • ALL which decreases both the player's reason and stamina by the enemy's damage value when hitting the player.

Some enemies have special attacks which can deal bonus damage or inflict statuses, they are usually telegraphed a turn in advance with a specific message in the log. The additional effects can be mitigated by bracing the turn before they hit.

PWR[]

Power is how difficult an enemy is to hit with weapon attacks. Your chance to hit an enemy with a weapon attack is calculated by subtracting the enemy's power from the sum of your weapon's hit chance and 10 times your level. The chance for an attack to hit is calculated and displayed by the game when selecting weapon attacks in the combat menu.

Double Enemies[]

A few battles in the game are against two enemies simultaneously which means they have two sets of these stats, only one of the enemies can deal damage to the player each turn.
